CCR is a non-partisan public interest advocacy organization committed to advancing more limited and transparent government. With a streamlined government, CCR seeks to establish high-quality, cost-efficient public services; increase personal responsibilities and civic involvement; protect individual liberties and freedom of speech; and decrease the tax burden on California residents and businesses.

By meeting these objectives, CCR ultimately hopes to return California to a responsive, citizen-informed and citizen-based government. At the core of this reform is returning the state’s legislature to a part-time status.

When our politicians are more connected to the state economy due to their primary employment being in the private sector, Californians will see a smarter, more business-friendly Legislature.”
